Year and year again the good guys @ YYAS and Spinworkx crank their brains for a new challenge for our local talents. So this time round we decided to inject some major style into the term “Throw Down”. So what is in stored this time round?
Imagine this. The coolest of tricks by players of today now in-sync with the craziest of tracks spun by one of the best DJs in town live on stage! The possibilities of this one of a kind fusion are unimaginable.
This is where style beats anything else. This is... the Beat It! Throw Down !!!
Professional Division (1A, 2A, 4A, 5A)

Its back yet again for the 6th year. This time round, the battle for yo-yoing supremacy has not gotten any closer than this. With defending champions facing the pressure by the Winners of the Eastern State and West Coast Classic Regionals, not to mention an army of professionals lurking behind, all with a common mission to hunt down the Singapore Championship Title!
Pro-Am Division (Open)

For a new player, there isn’t a better proving ground to make a name for themselves than this. In the last two years, the sport has introduced many talented individuals who are on their way to reaching professional standards. Let this be their final conquest to proving their worthiness to compete amongst the elite players in the year to come. Winner will be awarded a seed for SYYC 09 in the Professional Division.
Junior Division (Below 13 years of age)
This is where the future of the sport lies. A group of fresh players will now have the opportunity to taste a national level victory in this special division. Focused to test the player’s basic skill level and confidence on-stage, this is where the first step into professional yo-yoing is made.
Team Division

If you ever-thought just one player one stage could do some “Shock and Awe”? Wait till you see this! Back by its popularity during the West Coast Classic, this division will be making its first SYYC debut. This time round, get ready to see the finest teams in Singapore showcase their talents based on a given theme.
